The Outdoors Are Calling

This weekend weather was gorgeous. Mike and I took advantage of the clear day and went up to Cold Springs, NY on Saturday. We absolutely feel in love with this town and it's charm. Ever since I was little I've spent a great deal of time in the Hudson Valley. Hopefully soon we will be able to settle our roots here  :)

We stopped by the Hudson Hill cafe for a savory bite. What a tasty Hudson Valley treat it was!

Afterwards we looked around the local shops. This town is filled with some amazing vintage treasures! Great place to search for antique furniture too. I picked up these adorable salt and pepper shakers featuring a black scottish terrier, named Fala, after FDR's dog. (I'm a huge FDR nerd and had to pick these up!)

Towards the end of the day, we went apple picking at a farm in Spring Valley, about 15 minutes from Cold Springs. This year we learned not to fill our bag to the top, hehehe. 

I think I told someone I'd make a pie with all these apples ;)
